OF THE WILD WOOD
MOLESWIND AND THE GREAT GRAWN An elf, a dragon and a touch of faerie magic Begin: A small woodland elf called Moleswind was ambling along a path in the Wild Wood. Suddenly, there was a deep throaty growl. A growl so deep, and so throaty, it made the very ground shake. The growl growled again. Whatever was doing the growling sounded big. Very big. 'This might be a good time to hide in my faerie caravan.' Moleswind thought, and scampered off into the undergrowth. He was soon a long way from the growling, or so he thought. Just when he felt safe, Moleswind ran straight into a huge monster. His gaze went up and up, trying to grasp the size of the beast. It was so big it was blocking out the light of the sun! The creature was huger than huge and covered in green scaly skin. It had four legs like tree trunks, a massive fat belly and an enormous mouth. This was filled with teeth, hundreds and hundreds of needle-sharp teeth. It was some kind of dragon, a very large and very fat dragon. The massive dragon sniffed Moleswind with two huge nostrils. Moleswind, shivering with fear said. "You're not going to eat me, are you?" The dragon growled; "GRRROWL!" More:

Suddenly, a sack of bones fell on Ivy's leg. She squealed in surprise. All three young witches looked up. There was a tree goblin sitting on a branch above them, laughing. He sneered: "The Night Witch needs a blood red dragon stone for a special spell. They grow in the cave of the red dragon. Bring one to her and she will reward you well. Fail and you will be punished. You might find those bones useful to distract the dragon. If it doesn't eat you first!" The goblin laughed again and disappeared into the trees. "Who does the Night Witch think she is, we're not her servants." Molly whined. "She's a terrible person to cross. I think we better do as she asks." Ethel said. Molly muttered grumpily to herself. "She might think she's a queen but she's not my queen." The three sister witches set off to find the dragon. Luckily, Ivy had her dowsing wand with her, and she used this to guide them. Whilst they were walking over a crumbling old stone bridge, they heard a deep noise echoing from below. Something big was lurking in the shadows beneath the bridge. It growled again and Ethel said sternly: More:
